Now that I have an iPhone and that the Wordpress app has been released, I thought I’d start to take advantage of the ability of taking pictures and posting them on my site where ever I happen to be. And so, I have a new category entitled “Daily Shots“.
I’ll probably keep it to one a day if possible, but I’ll try and take an interesting picture with my iPhone and post it with a blurb as to what I saw or where I was when it was taken. Known as “photo blogging“, this should be an interesting addition to my site… provided I keep it up, which I hope to.
If you’re running a Wordpress site, and you have an iPhone, you’d be insane to not use the Wordpress iPhone app. It’s still v1.0 (as of this posting), and there are a few things missing (comment moderation, visual editor, etc), but for the most part it is a functional application that makes it easy and quick to draft together a post and get it up on your site.

I will admit, I’ve never heard this one before, and yes, I did laugh:
My ex-wife started taking flying lessons about the time our divorce started and she got her license shortly before our divorce was final, later that same year.
Yesterday afternoon I got a phone call, that she narrowly escaped injury in the aircraft she was piloting. Seems she was forced to make an emergency landing in Hamilton because of bad weather. Thank God the kids weren’t with her.
The FAA issued a preliminary report, citing pilot error: She was flying a single engine aircraft in IFR (instrument flight rating) conditions while only having obtained a VFR (visual flight rating) rating.
The absence of a post-crash fire was likely due to insufficient fuel on board. No one on the ground was injured.
The photograph below was taken at the scene to show the extent of damage to her aircraft.
She was really lucky.

Thanks for sending this to me, Mom!
