Early this morning, I suffered one of the greatest losses imaginable. My Father passed away.
He was the most selfless and caring man I knew, and was always there for me. In times of trouble, he was there to bail me out. When I got a job in Calgary, he and I drove my stuff across Canada, and he drove back by himself. He even did the same thing when I moved back to Toronto and there wasn’t enough room in the van for me. I don’t know of many people who would do that.
He was knowledgable in all world matters, and seemed to have an opinion on everything, which made for some interesting conversations and debates. He was the one person I looked up to the most, and I knew that no matter what that I could count upon him.
The world seems empty without him. He was the one I would turn to in times of grief.
Rest in peace, Father. I will love you always, and forever miss you dearly.

1. How do you deal with stress?
I tend to either just laugh it off, or play video games when I get home. I’d like to think that I don’t get stressed out all that often, but I do rant on occasion (as evident upon this site). I used to get really stressed out about things, but in the last 10 years or so have adopted a laid back point of view. This is when my favourite saying came up: “It’s all mind over matter; if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.”
2. Do you have a favourite “comfort food” and what is it?
Beer. Hah!
Seriously though, if I had to decide on a “comfort food” that I have, I would say popcorn. I love it, yet shouldn’t have it as much as I’d like.
3. Do you have a “comfort activity” and what is it?
I’m sure some people are expecting me to say “masturbation”.
For me, a “comfort activity” is just sitting on my ass and doing nothing, perhaps playing a video game, or watching which ever TV show or movie has caught my interest as of late. When I have a book that I’m into, that counts as a “comfort activity” too. Basically, anything that will allow me to sit back and relax, as it always seems that there is something going on, or something I have to do, or somewhere I have to go.
4. What days depress you and why?
Don’t really have any specific days that depress me. Even if I did, I’d find some way to cheer myself up. Life is too short to be spent moping about.
5. What days excite you and why?
Weekends. If I need to explain that to you, then you need to be smacked in the head.
