1. How often do you clean your home?
Not as often as we should, but generally before we plan to have people come over… doesn’t everyone? A common phrase spoken in our apartment when people come over is “please excuse the mess”. The next most common phrase spoken in our apartment when people come over is “would you like a beer?”, so being good hosts makes up for the mess. Or, we’re just trying to get you drunk so you don’t notice. Either and or.
2. What domestic chore do you hate?
Dusting. I can’t seem to get the hang of it. All I do is spread it elsewhere. With two cats, I notice the odd furball in the corner, which isn’t too much of an issue, but when it starts to accumulate on my desk, dust mixed with cat fur is irritating to clean.
3. What domestic chore do you enjoy?
Surprisingly, doing laundry. Not so much while living in an apartment, but in the various houses I’ve lived that have laundry machines, I would do laundry almost three times a week. Clean clothes all the time… lovely. Currently, laundry just piles up in the hamper until I realise I need clean underwear and/or socks. By that point, it takes forever to get it done, and isn’t as much fun.
4. Do you own a washing machine or go to the laundromat?
My Father’s house has laundry machines, but we generally use the laundry machines down in the laundry room of our apartment building. I’m not a big fan of using laundry machines that other people use, but it’s a hell of a lot better than going down to a laundromat to get it done. Those places just seem dirty to me… but if you have nothing else…
5. Do you iron underpants and/or bed sheets?
…no. That’s kinda odd. I’ll iron my collared shirts and anything else that is supposed to look fancy, but that’s about it.
