So, Molly and I were heading home after shopping for dinner, and we were going to take the King streetcar to Dundas West station. However, there was construction up Roncesvalles Ave all summer long, and there was bus service in effect, but we weren’t sure if it was still going on. Molly opted to ask the driver.
Molly:
“Do you go all the way up to Dundas West station, or do we have to take the bus?”
Driver:
“This is a streetcar, not a bus. We go as far as Queen Street, and then you take a bus.”
Molly:
“…okay, thanks.”
Perhaps the guy was having a bad day, or didn’t appreciate that we politely interrupted his discussion with another passenger about, of all things, Star Trek.
Either way, fine, be a dick.
I guess there’s a lesson to be learned here: Never interrupt a Trekkie. Maybe he would have been nicer if she had pointy ears and did the hand sign?
How are the renovations going?
Hah. Didn’t think about that!
The renovations have yet to start, as other things have popped up, but rest assured, I hope to have them going in the very near future!
